Omicron-specific VoXcreen and VoXident PCR kits for SARS-Cov-2 variant of concern screening were developed by our partner GenXPro in Frankfurt, Germany. Their competitive advantage is detecting and identifying SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern (VoCs) in one single step. Doing so speeds up time from collection to result, cuts the cost per test to about half, simplifies testing workflow and frees up capacity, and significantly reduces the risk of sample mix-ups and errors in reporting test results.
SmallRNA Ultra Low Input sequencing kits, also developed by GenXPro, are used for the preparation of small RNA libraries to be sequenced on Illumina® NGS instruments. The kits require only picogram amounts (0.01 to 500 ng) of total RNA. The entire workflow takes place in a single tube and is gel free, which minimizes losses and increases efficiency: 5-14 fewer PCR cycles than other methods are needed to obtain the minimum for a sequencing lane, and smallRNA sequencing cost can be drastically reduced (50% - 80% vs. others). The proprietary TrueQuant technology eliminates PCR-derived copies from gene expression data - only the sequence with highest quality of each TrueQuant adapter plus template-sequence combination are maintained.
Experience in single molecule DNA sequencing, single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) analysis and transplantation tissue typing led to the development of molecular enrichment and haplotyping methods that utilize magnetic nanoparticles to selectively pull out regions of interest from a complex sample. Genomic segments captured by our RSE and HSE kits are typically 10x longer than fragments isolated by other methods. The user can process the enriched material on her platform of choice for sequencing, quantitative PCR or amplification for other purposes.
