GenerationResearch provides practical solutions to empower sustainable diversity in science by providing authentic, stipended or paid summer studentship placements for undergraduates, Masters scholarships, and PhD scholarships, in science, technology, engineering, maths, and medicine (STEMM) subjects to engage talented UK students from underrepresented groups. Generation Research was created at the University of York but is open to undergraduates across Yorkshire and postgraduates across the UK, providing paid studentships and mentoring across the UK and in the USA. Recognising the importance of diversity in the research environment, Generation Research is designed to recruit talent and potential from all backgrounds. We aim to begin the sustainable implementation of an equitable approach for student recruitment to facilitate greater inclusion.
