Genesea(Israel) launched in 2021 as spinoff Tel Aviv University and grown in entity with operations in Israel and New Zealand. We are part of Proveg and Bigideaventures accelerators. The founders: Ivri Goren-Former deputy chief executive of Tnuva with very significant expertise in the food industry, Prof. Alex Goldberg- Head of the environmental studies group at Tel Aviv university and researcher in the subject of sea algae for some ten years, Alex Chemodanov - marine biologist with wide experience in the growing of algae. Together with our partners from New Zealand: Paul Marra-former Group General Manager of Kiwi Dairies ( NZ) and current Owner of Flavorjen Ltd, Pat Silcock- Research Associate Professor, Product Development Research Centre Manager at University of Otago. We are also partners with Baemek Tnuva daughter company on product development. The algal-protein is extracted from seaweeds, offering consumers a carbon-negative, arable land-free, fertilizer-free, pesticide-free, and gluten-free protein alternative. our strong scalable technology, backed by industrial experience, three patents and dozens of scientific publications, allows us to optimize both the cultivation and the extraction parts of the business, and reach 92% biomass recovery of raw material into useful ingredients.
