About Genips Group
Genips provides iPS cells that can significantly improve the failure rate in the R&D process of identifying suitable drugs for commercialization. Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPS) iPSC are derived from skin or blood cells and have been reprogrammed back into an embryonic-like pluripotent state. This reprogramming enables the development of an unlimited source of any type of human cell needed for research purposes. An additional differentiation of our cells is that because they are derived from skin cells rather than embryotic cells, they face much less regulation and controversy as a product. We are currently providing cells that have been developed to imitate human heart cells. IPS heart cells are currently being used by pharmaceutical companies in Stage 1 (Drug Development) of the research and development of heart treatment drugs. Our cells have been developed and patented in Kyoto University, one of the leading universities worldwide in stem cell research. They can improve the failure rate in the R&D process due to their superior replication characteristics when compared to existing products.
