GENIUS - MSCA Doctoral Network

We are thrilled to welcome you to GENIUS – the Doctoral Network on Energy Geostructures Integration: Buildings, Infrastructure and Underground Storage. Over the next 48 months, this pioneering initiative will train 15 talented Doctoral Candidates to become leaders in the development and integration of energy geostructures across urban systems, contributing to Europe’s climate-neutral future. Coordinated by Dr. Melis Sutman (University of Edinburgh) and co-coordinated by Prof. Hussein Mroueh (Université de Lille), GENIUS brings together a great team of academic beneficiaries: Prof. Rao Martand Singh (Norwegian University of Science and Technology), Prof. Diana Salciarini (L’Università degli Studi di Perugia), Prof. Marco Barla (Politecnico di Torino), Dr. Alice Di Donna (Université Grenoble Alpes), and Prof. Christopher Sansom (University of Derby). Together with our 14 valued associate partners: ACCES BTP (France), Bolsover District Council (UK), British Geological Survey (UK), GEOEG (Switzerland), GEOSOLVING (Italy), IREN (Italy), Keller (UK), Municipality of Lille (France), Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (Norway), SIMTEC (France), Smart Parc (UK), TELT (Italy), Townrock Energy (UK), Universite Gustave Eiffel (France), we aim to bridge the knowledge gap in shallow geothermal energy technologies, to unlock the full potential of energy geostructures for heating, cooling, and storage. - The GENIUS Consortium
