The Gennaro Gori company, handed down from four generations (the first registration with the C.C.I.A. dates back to 1925), accompanies the experience in the textile sector to the evolution of fashion and the search for beauty in the world of hat making materials and accesories.
The first founder was Gennaro Gori, who started the business in collaboration with his father-in-law Adamo Manetti. At the time, the activity, which took place in a room near the house, consisted in the trade of straw and braid; later the first imports with France were started.
After the Second World War, five of his sons joined their father Gennaro, giving a considerable boost to the company; in fact the trade was expanded, the range of products treated was considerably enriched, imports and exports began not only with France, but also with the whole world.
As a result of the commercial expansion, the buildings were enlarged: the first factory building was built in the early 1950s, adjacent to the paternal house; on several occasions further buildings were added; finally, in 1977, the villa "Il Chiaro" was purchased, which will later become the company's registered office; in 1980 the company was transformed into an S.P.A.
Today, the Gennaro Gori company mainly deals with the wholesale, import and export trade of materials for hats manufacture and accessories that allow original and unique creations in the fashion world, where the grandchildren and some great-grandchildren still continue the family business with the same passion and commitment.
We are also one of the main producers of grosgrain ribbon. The multiplicity of products we deal with can satisfy the demands of a vast clientele, ranging from hat producers, to shoe factories, to ready-to-wear and pronto moda fashion, to theatrical and cinematographic tailors.
