Private laboratory of clinical diagnosis established in the island of Rhodes, Greece in the year 2018. Providing diagnostic services dedicated to the scientific fields of molecular biology and genetics, represents the first laboratory of its kind ever been established in the island of Rhodes, as well as in the general territory of South Aegean. The provided diagnostic services cover a wide range of medical fields, focused but not restricted to the screening of people for genetic syndromes/ diseases (e.g. thalassemias, cystic fibrosis), genetic analysis of reproductive deficiencies (e.g. genetic factors of male/female infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss), prenatal genetic diagnosis (e.g. fetal chromosomal aneuploidies - Down/Edwards/ Patau/Turner/Klinefelter syndrome -, monogenic disorder mutations carriage), antenatal genetic diagnosis of congenital syndromes/diseases (e.g. chromosomal syndromes, autism spectrum disorders, hereditary metabolic conditions), molecular diagnosis of infections (e.g. HBV, HCV, HPV, CMV, Toxoplasmosis), cancer genetics & pharmacogenetics (e.g. cancer - breast, ovary, colon, pancreas, stomach, skin - genetic risk estimation, tumor molecular assessment for therapy compatibility - PARP inhibitors in breast/ovary cancer, chemotherapy necessity in breast cancer, TKI inhibitors in NSCL). Harboring a sufficiently equipped laboratory in the center of the city of Rhodes, and managing collaborations with first-line diagnostic laboratories and biotechnology companies of national and international scale, allow us to timely encompass the recent advancements in biomedical science and to provide immediate, highly reliable and meaningful diagnostic services to the local community and visitors of Rhodes and nearby area.
