Health Music began its conceptual development when a group of physicians, musicians, and psychologists gathered around the idea to research the validity of a new paradigm in the implementation of music in health: offering music as a personalized health tool.
Health Music began evaluating the relationship between structural music elements, the body and the mind (Structured Music Protocol). Their scientific configuration resulted in the scaled application of music qualities to human health (MET).
New research ideas, intuitions, and technological innovations supported other pilot studies in diverse fields: San Bortolo Hospital of Vicenza in Italy and Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City for neonatology; the Venice Marathon and the Tour de France for sport medicine; and the Antica Scuola dei Battuti Memory Center and elderly care in Venice, Italy, for geriatrics.
More recently, Genote has completed a successful clinical study for the assessment of Health Music in substance abuse recovery.
Particular attention was given to mental health and special education. The outstanding results achieved through Genote’s collaborations with the Utah Schools for the Deaf and Blind, along with several leading residential treatment centers, are the foundational work for international development.
