Inequalities often bring to mind issues such as gender, income, or race. However, people often overlook the profound impact that inequality in access to social relationships has on an individual’s sense of belonging and role in society. Isolation and loneliness are feelings that frequently affect both elders in retirement homes and orphans. Access to social relationships is key to life-changing opportunities. We strongly believe that such opportunities should be accessible to everyone — including orphans who lack parental guidance. With GEN-RINGS, our mission is to bridge these hearts by bringing them together, and creating resources to change the lives of those who cannot achieve it on their own.
