Genuine Cup Houston

Houston is hosting the Genuine World Cup, a soccer tournament for players with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and Autism, and we would love for you to be a part of it! From July 31 to August 3, teams from Spain, Portugal, Mexico, and the US will compete in the preliminary phase at Rice University soccer fields, with the final at the Shell Energy Stadium. While our goal is for the athletes to have a great competition, we also want to create a platform to advocate for inclusion through soccer, replicate the success of initiatives like LALIGA GENUINE in Spain, and promote expansion to other countries and sports. This event will also serve as a test run with the goal of hosting the first Genuine World Cup in two years, alongside the FIFA World Cup in the summer of 2026 in North America.
