Architectural finishes are a range of surface coverings that transform the look of existing fixtures and fittings. GEO's range of architectural finishes includes thousands of options, replicating wood, stone, metallic materials, fabrics, etc., as well as unique and modern textures. The materials can be applied to almost any surface and can be molded to shapes and contours. The material was invented for use as wood paneling on the sides of American station wagon vehicles in 1955 but has taken off in recent years, especially in Japan where they have strict building material controls due to natural disasters. They now build many internal structures using MDF but then wrap it with an architectural film to replicate concrete, marble, wood, etc. It is ideally suited for internal refurbishment projects as it offers a huge cost saving as an alternative to replacing expensive fixtures like reception desks, toilet partitions, lifts doors and interiors, fire doors and cupboards. It is also ideal for wrapping other interior elements such as columns, walls, and ceilings, to create a unique focal point.
