Geoinformatics Engineering - POLIMI

The Master of Science in Geoinformatics Engineering is a two- year international master course taught in English. As the first of its kind in Italy, this program offers a unique, multidisciplinary approach, blending environmental and computer systems engineering. Our program equips students with cutting-edge skills to generate, manage, process, and analyze geospatial data and information, preparing them to solve environmental challenges. Having a long-lasting expertise in data science, geomatics, and environmental engineering, we prepare professionals to work in industries such as geospatial data infrastructures, environmental monitoring and urban planning. Our graduates lead innovative geospatial projects, applying AI, big data, and Earth observation technologies to real-world issues. They become experts requested by both private and public sectors. With a focus on both theoretical knowledge and practical application, the program includes comprehensive lab activities and research projects, ensuring students gain hands-on experience in geospatial analysis, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Remote Sensing. The program integrates computer science courses, such as software engineering, computer architecture, artificial intelligence, machine learning, web and mobile technologies, among many others.
