Geopa proactively engages in all questions related to social affairs and employment at Union level. In this sense, the European Commission recognises Geopa as the European social partner organisation representing the sector’s employers.
Geopa’s mission is to:
i. represent the national employer associations for the sector in all European public platforms such as the European social dialogue, the European Platform Tackling Undeclared Work and the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work;
ii. develop effective strategic policies and initiatives to promote the agricultural sector as a safe, fair and prosperous working environment;
iii. support the implementation of EU legislation and initiatives such as the Pact for Skills with a view to guarantee the prosperity and sustainability of the sector in Europe.
In representing the interests of the farming community across the EU, Geopa provides a platform for members to debate and exchange their views; seek and promote solutions to important matters of mutual concern and foster debates with representative organisations at European and international level. Geopa provides recent and specialised information and analyses that both cater to the needs of its members and meet the requirements underpinning public relations requirements.
