George Varughese

In 1998, Mr. George Varughese, as he was then known, founded and established this firm (formerly 'George Varughese & Co') — and thus began the firm's journey towards its embellished expertise in litigation, alternative dispute resolution, corporate advisory, commercial conveyancing and structured finance. Later, after over 20 years of dedication to the profession and the Bar Council, Mr. George Varughese rose to helm as President of the Malaysian Bar from 2017 until 2019. Upon finishing his term, he was then appointed to the High Court of Malaya in Penang, where he has been presiding as Judicial Commissioner since late-2019. While the firm now operates under a managerial partnership, YA Tuan George Varughese, as he is presently known, remains to this firm a symbol of captaincy, and his traditional values of integrity, independence and professionalism expected of the legal profession has steered the firm into maintaining these very same ideals today.
