Georgia BRIGHT is a federally funded program available to low-to-middle-income Georgia residents and community organizations looking to save money on energy bills. Made possible through the Inflation Reduction Act, the initiative involves the leasing of solar panels and/or battery storage to remove the burden of ownership while breaking down barriers to accessible renewable energy.
The program's creator, nonprofit Capital Good Fund, was recently awarded part of Solar For All’s $7B grant. This historic EPA funding aims to help low-income and disadvantaged communities participate in the transition to a clean energy economy through rooftop solar.
