Georgia Forensic Nursing Network

Georgia Forensic Nursing Network (GFNN) is focused on bringing world-class forensic nursing training to practitioners across the state. Through a Healthcare Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) grant, GFNN will recruit 140 nurses, train them as SANE-A®, SANE-P®, or both, and support certification for 25 trained SANEs during the project period. As a full-fledged network of forensic nursing experts, GFNN collaborates with both child advocacy and sexual assault examination centers to help eliminate the identified gaps and barriers. The network includes Athens-Clarke County SANE Program, Day League DeKalb Rape Crisis Center, Emory University School of Nursing, Emory University Healthcare, The Haven, The Lily Pad Rape Crisis/Sexual Assault Center, The Refuge, Haven, and Safe Path Children’s Advocacy Center.
