The Heavy Equipment Operator program was originally launched in six high schools across the state, thanks to funding from the Georgia General Assembly and the combined efforts of C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc., CAT Simulators, SimScholars™, Georgia Highway Contractors Association, Associated General Contractors of Georgia, Inc., Construction Ready, and the Georgia Department of Education. Since, schools have been added to the sum of 15 total across the state of Georgia.
