GeospatialNCL - Newcastle University We participate in major projects funded predominantly by research councils, industry and government, focusing on Geodesy, Geospatial Engineering and Remote Sensing. Our findings are disseminated in leading international journals and at international conferences and symposia, as well as in professional magazines, the media and through educational outreach programmes. Geospatial Engineering and Science formed a significant component of the Newcastle University submission to the Civil Engineering Research Assessment Exercise 2008 and was ranked second in the UK by the influential Research Fortnight magazine. We offer two professionally accredited undergraduate courses, Surveying and Mapping Sciences BSc/BEng Hons and Geographic Information Sciences BSc Hons.
