The present Twining project aims to support Georgia in fulfillment of the obligations under EU-Georgia Association Agreement (AA), DCFTA and Association Agenda in the field of Standardization and Metrology.
Public Institutions and EU Bodies competent in standardization, metrology and accreditation lead the project: for Italy, ACCREDIA, INRiM and UNI, and for Spain, CEM, FIIAPP and UNE.
Project budget is 1,400,000 Euro. Duration 24 months.
The Georgian National Agency for Standards and Metrology - GEOSTM will be supported in order to reinforce capacities and competences and to contribute to development of National Quality Infrastructure.
GEOSTM as beneficiary of the Twinning Project represents a warranty of progress and reliability in standardization and metrology sector for the welfare of the community, commerce, industry and science in Georgia. GEOSTM is a legal entity of the public law, within the system of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, performing its activities in the field of standardization and metrology.
