Gerrisboats is the owner of patents for cutting-edge hybrid foiling technologies that are intended to support the decarbonisation of the maritime industry, reduce noise pollution that affects marine life, and lessen the effects of waves that cause seasickness and bank erosion.
These innovations and vessels are built with zero-emission, zero-wave, and zero-noise operating systems.
The name "Gerris" comes from "Gerride", an insect known for skating on water, especially in lake environments. The craft is designed with a submerged body, controlled descent wings, a movable wing system with sensors, and dedicated flight control software. The Gerris boat's propulsion system is configured for both hybrid and fully electric operation and also can adapt to other variants, such as hydrogen propulsion.
