The GERS department is a research component of the Gustave Eiffel University with nearly 120 people, spread over 7 laboratories on the campuses of Nantes-Bouguenais, Paris-Marne-la-Vallée, Lyon-Bron and Grenoble. It conducts research and provides support for public policies (expert assessments, development of technical doctrine, standardization at the national and European levels) in the field of geosciences (geotechnics, geology, hydrology, environmental chemistry, geophysics and auscultation) applied to civil engineering and development.
