Fundacja GESSEL dla Muzeum Narodowego w Warszawie powstała w 1996 roku. Jej główna misją jest pozyskiwanie zbiorów do kolekcji sztuki współczesnej MNW. Obecnie zakupiona przez Fundację kolekcja liczy ponad 200 prac dwudziestu polskich artystów sceny nowoczesnej i współczesnej.
Fundacja GESSEL dla Zachęty-Narodowej Galerii Sztuki powstała w 2013 roku w celu wspierania młodych teoretyków kultury i krytyków sztuki. Fundacja cel ten realizuje nieprzerwanie od początku powstania poprzez program stypendialny ±∞Zachęta. W 7 edycjach konkursu Fundacja nagrodziła kilkunastu laureatów.
The GESSEL Foundation for the National Museum in Warsaw was established in 1996. Its main mission is to acquire collections for the collection of contemporary art of the National Museum in Warsaw. Currently, the collection purchased by the Foundation includes over 200 works by twenty Polish artists of modern and contemporary scenes.
The GESSEL Foundation for the Zachęta-National Gallery of Art was established in 2013 to support young cultural theorists and art critics. The Foundation has been pursuing this goal continuously since its inception through the ± ∞ Zachęta scholarship program. In 7 editions of the competition, the Foundation awarded several winners.
