GESSIE is a consultancy initiative specialising in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). The name is an acronym for Governance, Environment, Social, Sustainability, Innovation, and Education, reflecting its core focus areas. The team helps organisations develop sustainability strategies to improve efficiency, profitability, and long-term success. Their work is guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and structured around seven core subjects: - Organizational Governance - Human Rights - Labour Practices - The Environment - Operational Excellence & Best Practices - Consumer Issues - Community Involvement & Development GESSIE aims at integrating these elements into a holistic approach to sustainable business growth, focusing on helping organisations through their ESG and Sustainability journey. The key players being: Dr Roberta Lepre, a warranted advocate with over 20 years’ experience in the social sector in Malta and beyond Ing Joseph Micallef, a warranted engineer, with over 32 years’ worth of cross-sectoral experience in operational excellence and business process best practices deployment, from local and international exposure Altern Limited, an engineering company with over 15 years’ experience within the area of sustainability and renewable energy Beyond the core partners, GESSIE works with a range of collaborators within different fields, ensuring effective ESG implementation within different industries.
