During my undergraduate studies, I remember having an extremely difficult time finding a job that took me seriously as a scholar and a professional. Once I found a fairly rewarding position, I remember thinking about all those who may have been more qualified than I as well as those who may not have had the experience I had, but the education. I thought about the resumes that may have been overlooked due to incorrect formatting or unappealing aesthetics. I became the go-to person in school to help with cover letters and resumes. I never marketed myself but I excelled with helping others. I researched resume writing as a career and decided that this was what I really wanted to do to make a difference.
