Get Set Leeds Local

Get Set Leeds Local is a community-driven project funded by Sport England, dedicated to making physical activity accessible and inclusive for everyone in Leeds. We focus on supporting targeted communities—Holbeck, Beeston Hill, New Wortley, and Seacroft, Gipton and Harehills—by co-creating opportunities that inspire people to move more and lead healthier lives. Working alongside residents, local organisations, and sector partners, we aim to: Break down barriers to physical activity through collaboration and innovation. Strengthen community and individual capacity with upskilling and tailored support. Address structural inequalities to ensure everyone has the opportunity to get active. Our initiatives include the Community Chest Fund (up to £300 for community ideas), co-produced projects, and gathering insights to drive solution-focused actions. By integrating physical activity into health, education, and other sectors, we’re making it everyone’s business. Join us as we build healthier, more active communities in Leeds—one step at a time.
