Get Connected

Get Connected provides a platform to foster the intergenerational exchange of experience between LGBTQIAP+ students and seasoned professionals. We focus on the development of the students’ careers through a professional one-to-one mentoring programme and promote seasoned LGBTQIAP+ role models during a bi-annual networking event. The mentoring programme focuses on the personal and professional development of students. Juniors of this programme are mainly students of the University of St. Gallen, University of Zurich and ETH. To apply for the programme, juniors and seniors have to fill in a questionnaire which will, by the help of our carefully executed matching process, determine their partner. After this matching process is completed, Juniors and Seniors can then define the content and structure of the further mentoring relationship themselves. The Get Connected Team ensures the successful matching process by the help of a feedback loop. The bi-annual Get Connected Event* is the main exchange platform of Get Connected. The first part of the evening addresses recent LGBTQIA+ developments, personal experiences and the dealing with one’s sexuality in everyday business life. After this panel discussion, participants get the great opportunity to meet and socialize with all other attendees from very different industries and backgrounds. While enjoying an Apéro Riche the diverse crowd is free to expand their network.
