Getlokal is a mobile app-based platform helping businesses reward and retain their customers. It is quick and easy to set up a loyalty programme on Getlokal. There is no additional hardware or software required to run a loyalty programme, the link between a business and its customers is a QR code. Businesses list their place on Getlokal and add details about their products and services. They set up a loyalty programme and then promote it to their customers. Collection of customer data via a loyalty programme allows businesses to build relationships and to retain customers, and to develop their products and services. Consumers join a business’s loyalty programme by downloading the Getlokal app and scanning a QR code. This collects a point which is shown in a loyalty card on the app. With each subsequent purchase from the business they scan the QR code and collect another point. When they have collected the set number of points a voucher is generated in the app which the consumer exchanges with the business for a reward. Consumers may join as many different loyalty programmes from the same app. They can use Getlokal to find new places as well as places that have loyalty programmes. Getlokal is free for consumers and businesses pay a monthly subscription to run loyalty programmes.
