About R66T Technologies
R66T (Root 66) was formed in 2009 to develop software and a new business model that would enable brands such as Starbucks to cost-effectively provide secure public access WiFi to their customers. After spending three years and $20 million in R&D, the V1 CacheBox launched with great success. By 2013 the system was integrated into over 4000 hotels, sports venues, and retail business in North America and Mexico. Within 24-months all of the networks were acquired by AT&T and others. R66T is active as a development-stage company, poised to introduce new technologies as the capabilities of WiFi/DAS/GPS interoperability catches up to their technical requirements.
