GETracing Dortmund e. V.

GETracing is the Formula Student Team of the Technical University Dortmund. Formula Student is an international design competition in which students independently develop and manufacture a racing car. The aim of the competition is not only to develop the fastest and lightest car, but also the economy and presentation of the vehicle are evaluated in both static and dynamic disciplines. Our team consists of more than 80 members from various faculties, divided into technical and economical teams. Every year we build a single-seater racing car, which is driven at various Formula Student events on renowned racetracks throughout Europe. The members of our team plan, design and manufacture the racing car on their own. We are supported by a large number of sponsors and alumni. Since 2020, we have also been focusing on a purely electrically powered vehicle and are already preparing single-mindedly for an autonomous racing car by 2022.
