Getting It Strait

Getting It Strait is a Malaysian online zine that publishes works on youth writing and current affairs. Issues are published bimonthly to accommodate content that reflect recent events in Malaysia and beyond, true to both context and author’s vision. We look for a wide variety of English submissions – essays, short stories, poetry, resource compendiums, articles, illustrations… just to name a few – anything that presents your perspective for the benefit of society at large. As a zine, we strive to empower voices and connect people beyond geographical “straits” in the fight for social justice.
