The NOVA Centre for the Study of Gender, Family, and the Law (NOVA GFLaw) is a research centre of CEDIS, at NOVA School of Law, committed to interdisciplinary research and thoughtful policy development in the area of gender, equality, and family legal issues. It comprises three research lines: 1. Family Law and Policy 2. Equality Law 3. Gender Religion and the Law It aims to: • Conduct cutting-edge comparative analyses and discussions on the main themes within the Centre’s scope, aspiring to contribute to European and comparative research on gender, equality, and family law • Offer comprehensive and impactful executive or advanced education courses in the main areas covered by the Centre • Offer expert opinions on topics falling within the scope of the Centre´s research areas to relevant stakeholders, including international and domestic courts • Engage in joint research projects with key stakeholders, such as law practitioners and NGOs, on the main themes within the Centre´s scope • Engage promising students from NOVA in cutting-edge research “from the get-go”, aiming to enhance the quality of legal education in Portugal Get in touch with us: novagflaw@novalaw.unl.pt
