I created this company to honor my mother, Ginny, who was called Home on 05/20/2021. For those of you who don't know, my Momma collected TY beanie babies, teenie beanies, buddies, attics, pillow pals and classics. In addition to TY products, she also collected Warner Bros and Disney beanies. I have found that she also accumulated BAMM-BEANOS, puffkins, and other brands as well!
Many of my childhood friends are well aware of her beanie obsession as we stood in several lines at 2-3am waiting for the stores to open, just to get the newest release. She would also buy 15+ happy meals from McDonalds at one visit to attain all the teenie beanies she could. Our freezer was full of McDonalds hamburgers and cheeseburgers! My mom turned to her beanie obsession as a way to grieve over the loss of her son, my brother, Butch. He unexpectedly passed away in 1997 and she remained strong for her whole family while using beanie babies as a coping mechanism.
I cannot express how touched I am to know that her beanie babies have been sold all across the country. A part of her prized collections is being shipped across the U.S.A. providing joy and happiness to others, just like she did when she was here on Earth with us. The grandkids called her G.G. (short for Grandma Ginny) so thus came the name of the business GG's Beanies.
In addition to my Mom's collection, Ben and I have decided to start purchasing collectible items through various estate sales and such and will be posting those items for sale as well. Everything from antiques, to paintings, vintage, baseball cards, sports memorabilia, home decor, holiday decorations, toys, scrapbooking supplies, decanters, steins, you name it, we have it! We will soon be opening a shop in St. Clair, MO so you can stop by on the weekends to see if we have anything that catches your eye ♥
