Gift of Relief (GR) is a non-governmental organization registered in South Sudan with a mission of strengthening, transforming, and uplifting the lives of vulnerable people through relief assistance and empowerment programs.
The organization is highly motivated, committed, and sensitive toward the needs of indigenous groups that lack political representation, and others who are socially excluded, disadvantaged or otherwise in need of social, political, economic, and moral support. Gift of Relief goal is to uplift the socio-economic and cultural status of the rural & urban poor and disadvantaged people, emphasizing the women, disabled and children through relief assistance and empowerment programs where it imparts felt-need based problem solving programs.
Gift of Relief members possess a solid understanding of the existing status of marginalized people living across the war-ravaged South Sudan. The members also have general knowledge of national policies in addition to the skills and experience needed to plan for relief assistance, community development and empowerment programs
