Gilmour Engineering Services Ltd is an independent engineering consultancy specialising in the design and verification of structural and mechanical systems for both onshore and offshore applications. We will take a design application from basic concept through to the release of drawings for production, or we can provide engineering support and verification services for any stage of the process. With almost a century of dedicated design experience to call on we support our clients projects from beginning to end with the confidence that our systems will work correctly, be easy and safe to operate and last their intended design life. Our bread and butter is the design of heavy load bearing equipment for harsh environments including subsea applications with potentially high sediment levels, wave and splash zones and areas exposed to extreme weather. We also have significant experience in the design of systems for Nuclear applications, within the Civil and Defence sectors. We are experienced in, and offer the following: Structural design, assessment and support through certification via DNVGL or Lloyds Register. This includes the design of plated and frame structures, lifting assemblies and seafastenings. Mechanical design of systems for manipulation and remote handling. We are experienced in the design of handling systems with a typical range of 0—1000tonnes load bearing capacity. Hydraulic System design including open and closed loop circuits for mobile and industrial applications.
