John’s success as the administrator for Health Care for the Homeless networks in both Texas and Washington State relied on collaborative partnerships with Continuum of Care leaders, supportive housing agencies, shelter operators, community behavioral health providers, and government officials, both elected and appointed. He partnered to create innovative and integrated health and social service delivery models that reflect direct input from persons with lived experience of homelessness as well as frontline staff. He built organizational cultures committed to equity, service, bravery, and care for team members and clients alike. He is a trained and practiced leadership coach, facilitator, mediator, and mindfulness meditation instructor.
