Gimlet Systems

Gimlet Systems is a high technology firm that designs and integrates active safety, shared control, and adaptive autonomy systems for manned and unmanned vehicles. Developed at MIT by Sterling Anderson and Karl Iagnemma, Gimlet's patented technology enables machines to share control with their human operator - effectively ensuring that the human retains as much control as possible while preventing collisions and losses of stability. It has been extensively tested on both manned and unmanned ground vehicles — from a human-driven Jaguar S-Type to a teleoperated Kawasaki Mule and has been the subject of several academic publications, four patents (pending), and various press articles.
