We're an Apparel and Accessories company from the small island nation of Sri Lanka (Ceylon).
We guarantee that in every step of the process from procuring and processing materials, to making our products, and finally packing them, we adhere strictly to minimize wastage and use planet friendly alternatives as much as possible to produce products that are ethical, sustainable, eco friendly and affordable.
The cotton in all our products are carefully sourced from the best cotton farms in the world that are certified to produce 100% organic cotton with no genetic modifications and which uses only organic manure and pesticides. In the case of blended products where around 15% is Polyesters, we only use upcycled or recycled Polyesters so the amount of wasted plastics and polythene ending up in landfills and the ocean will be reduced.
To decrease wastage of ink and material we have adopted an on-demand production strategy. This means we will produce the items only after an order is placed. Thus, nearly 100% of the items we produce will be sold and won’t generate waste.
We have also decided to reduce plastic from each and every shipment. So we mainly use only two types of packaging: rigid envelopes made of recyclable cardboard, with the FSC label - climate neutral and flexible envelopes made of 100% recycled and recyclable Kraft paper.
With the help of our good friends at EcoCart we are automatically making each of our orders carbon neutral. This means we automatically calculate the amount of carbon that will be released when processing and shipping and neutralize the environmental impact by using a wide array of processes including purchasing carbon credits or other instruments, such as Renewable Energy Credits (RECs).
Additionally we are planting 10 trees per every product sold with help from Ecologi and Eden Reforestation Project.
