GIRO Technological Center

GIRO was set up with the aim of integrating the different areas of knowledge involved in the organic waste sector. GIRO is a common space where experts interact to carry out R &D, technological transfers, training and services in order to reduce the impact of organic waste on the environment and the opportunities it offered (energy recovery , etc). The centre’s work is aimed at reducing the impact of organic waste on the natural environment and exploiting the opportunities that this presents. Its mission is to contribute to the improvement of management, practices and treatment systems of organic waste as well as to the sustainable development of productive sectors and the environmental quality of the territory.
