Why GROwing? Flying to Girona-Costa Brava (GRO) airport embodies your commitment to sustainable growth and responsible mobility. Girona is the gateway to Catalonia with the lowest airport charges and the shortest flying distance and taxiing time. Most flights are north-bound, which permits shorter routes and a considerable reduction in emissions, with an approximate saving of 1000 kg of CO₂ per flight. Girona public authorities have launched a committee for the development of Girona airport, under the strategy Girona is GROwing that has been releseased in Connect 2025. The project, backed by the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Girona Provincial Council and the Chamber of Commerce of Girona, aims to consolidate the airport as unique international gateway for Girona Costa Brava and Catalonia
