4. Assistance and support on webgis platforms maintenance both on site and remotely
5. Training for both individual and groups on; a) GIS; b) cartography; c) databases
5. Consulting on migration processes towards Open Source technologies
Gis & Web S.r.l. promotes and supports GFOSS initiatives, including GisClient (http://gisclient.org) development, that is, is a web authoring tool configurator for MapServer that enables the user both to build Mapfiles and to provide OpenLayers maps, released with GNU/GPL 3 licence.
Gis & Web S.r.l is involved in the PloneGov initiative, an international network of Public Authorities and developers, aimed at sharing the best OS solutions in the public sector.
