My Expertise in plastic injection Moulds I have been in Mould & Tool Making all my working live. That is more than 40 years. The first managing job I took on in 1987 in a plant of a German company in Malta. During the many years that have passed I oversaw the introducing of many kind of machinery equipped with CNC controls. As well as the first CAD/CAM work stations in 1992. There was a big demand on 2-and 3-component plastic injection moulds from the 1990-ies and I was largely involved in developing and improving those. Needless to say, I have a large knowledge on single component moulds too. During the time as tool room manager I was responsible / oversaw thousands of mould repairs. Tasks include:  Troubleshooting  Fast, good quality repair, fault and fact finding  Cycle time optimisation  Cycle time reduction, Time is Money, every second counts  Tool optimisation 1. Balance moulds according to filling studies 2. Reach the planned cycle time 3. Changes due to part quality such as breakages 4. Mould cooling 5. Remove burn marks  Tool alteration and introduce new materials  Change runner and gating system  Hot runner systems I possess a large knowledge in mould repair and optimisation, but not to leave out new mould production. Under my guidance the workshop manufactured thousands of new moulds from raw material according to design. As well as the manufacture of thermoforming moulds or tools for packing purposes. All tasks ahead were thoroughly analysed and solved by using a methodical, well planned approach.
