Groupe Logiciel - Cellule Nationale Logicielle

The Groupe Logiciel is an inter-university and inter-research organization task force, whose aim is to mutualize the software needs of higher education and research entities in France. The Cellule Nationale Logicielle is a unit of the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, whose mission is to ensure the operation of the Groupe Logiciel, at administrative, organizational, legal and economic levels. The Groupe Logiciel's work benefits: higher education and research establishments (Universities, Grands Etablissements, Ecoles), research organizations, other supervised bodies (CNED, CNDP, INRP, etc.), the central administration of the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research, and a number of "cotutelle" or "hors tutelle" groups of higher education establishments (Ecoles des Mines, Ecoles d'Architecture, etc.). Groupe Logiciel's primary mission is to negotiate protocols that will enable us to achieve our objectives: obtain the best prices for "use in higher education and research", but also through the mass effect, without any quantitative commitment on our part; ensure that the price is the same for everyone, whether you belong to a large establishment or a small one; offer users a choice between competing products and promote "free software".
