The Groupe Logiciel is an inter-university and inter-research organization task force, whose aim is to mutualize the software needs of higher education and research entities in France.
The Cellule Nationale Logicielle is a unit of the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, whose mission is to ensure the operation of the Groupe Logiciel, at administrative, organizational, legal and economic levels.
The Groupe Logiciel's work benefits: higher education and research establishments (Universities, Grands Etablissements, Ecoles), research organizations, other supervised bodies (CNED, CNDP, INRP, etc.), the central administration of the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research, and a number of "cotutelle" or "hors tutelle" groups of higher education establishments (Ecoles des Mines, Ecoles d'Architecture, etc.).
