GLF Teacher Training

GLF Teaching School Alliance is the professional development centre for GLF Schools and its Alliance Partners. In conjunction with GLF Schools Central Education Team, our Teaching School leaders provide School-Centered Initial Teacher Training (SCITT), School to School Support and Professional Development Opportunities. We believe that school-based training is the best way for trainee teachers to become excellent classroom practitioners. Trainees on our SCITT programme spend the majority of their time in one of GLF's successful schools, receiving high-quality support and training from skilled teachers and passionate leaders. Our unique, newly launched GLF Project Research Scholarship also awards selected trainees with the opportunity to conduct a fully funded research project alongside their training, with a £1000 reduction in SCITT tuition fees. Our Alliance is a superb way to share best practice, in and beyond GLF Schools. Our school to school collaborations are effective in leading system-wide improvement, raising standards, and adding value to our partners' provisions.
