Global Fleet Champions is a not-for-profit global campaign to prevent crashes and reduce pollution caused by vehicles used for work purposes.
More than 1.3 million people die on roads every year. Many road deaths involve a vehicle being driven for work. Vehicles driven for work also cause extensive pollution.
The good news is that the safe and sustainable operation of vehicles that move goods or people can be regulated and enforced by governments, and managed by business leaders through risk management and environmental practices.
This means safe and sustainable operation of lorries and buses, which are the largest and heaviest vehicles on roads and often cause the most catastrophic collisions and extensive pollution. It also means safe and sustainable operation of smaller vehicles like vans, cars and motorbikes.
Everyone can be a champion for safe and healthy mobility in fleets. You can shout out for safety and sustainability where you work, or campaign for government action. We provide the resources you need to manage occupational road risk, whatever your budget, fleet size or vehicle type.
The Global Fleet Champions awards celebrates best practice in safe and healthy mobility for fleets.
Global Fleet Champions is free to join. It’s a partnership initiative, overseen by academic and practitioner experts working in the field of occupational road risk. It is administered by Brake, the road safety charity.
