Born out of the World Economic Forum, the Global Shapers Community is a network of inspiring young people under the age of 30 working together to address local, regional, and global challenges. With more than 10,000 members, the Global Shapers Community spans over 450 city-based hubs in over 150 countries.
In each city, teams of Shapers self-organize to create projects that address the needs of their community. Projects are wide-ranging – from responding to disasters and combating poverty, to fighting climate change and building inclusive communities. Shapers are diverse in expertise, education, income, and race, but are united by their desire to bring about change.
The Hague Hub members represent The Hague through their diversity in nationalities and backgrounds. An exceptionally talented group of people, who are passionate about having an impact on their society and are experts in their specific fields including sustainable development, technology, social entrepreneurship, and politics. We come together to achieve a common vision: make The Hague Hub the platform connecting change-makers in the city and be the voice of youth. Our projects serve our main mission: contribute to youth leadership development, build a strong network of change-makers through multiple high-value events, and cultivate a positive impact in society through Hub's actions and collaborative work with local associations and NGOs.
