STEP (Successful Transgenerational Entrepreneurship Practices) is an international research program analyzing the following two research questions:
- How do you get a family firm over several generations successfully?
- How the familiar influence over business can make it durable and more successful?
STEP involves only family businesses of at least 2nd generation, no matter the industrial sector they are part of, connecting and allowing family members to “hack the system” of their own business.
STEP has two goals:
- To develop a common understanding of the commitment and entrepreneurial skills of business families.
- To offer new approaches for dealing with specific problems.
Among many collaborations, STEP Project has 43 partner institutions around the world and more than 200 researchers spread worldwide!
STEP is a research and not a consultancy project.
WHAT IS THE GLOBAL STEP SUMMIT 2017?
It is a Summit organized by the STEP Project members for family businesses and academics. During this Summit we are going to understand how family firms and entrepreneurial families can flourish in the new global disorder – thriving on chaos.
It is going to be held from the 8th to the 11th November 2017 at the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) in Lugano, Switzerland.
