Global Ties ABQ

Our Vision is to be the leader in creating meaningful global engagement and building professional networks to advance Albuquerque NM as a thriving international city. Our Mission is to contribute to world peace by creating global connections among the people of New Mexico and emerging leaders from around the world. We do this through international professional exchange programs, local educational programs, and international community-building activities. Each year we bring more than 400 emerging leaders from around the world to Albuquerque to meet with their counterparts in business, education, government, NGO leadership, healthcare, and much more. These individuals are participants of the U.S. Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program, The Library of Congress Open World Program, or Embassy sponsored Fee for Service programs. We connect our wonderful community resources with emerging leaders from around the world to compare ideas, share models of programs, discuss challenges and success, and network. We involve our citizen diplomats in each program, who invite world leaders into their homes for dinner and who escort world leaders around Albuquerque. Completing the circle of international exchange. Global Ties ABQ is an advocate of citizen diplomacy, the long-term, steady but secure approach to world peace, national security, and improved international relations. We are always looking for more citizen diplomats in our local community to carry out diplomacy by inviting international leaders into their homes or escorting them around Albuquerque to their professional appointments and cultural activities.
