GSI was initially designed to help Downhill Longboarders compete with others from around the world, and support the industry's ecosystem in terms of product development, discovery, marketing, and sponsorships. The Beta first launched in 2014. Today GSI connects a global community of athletes, enthusiasts, equipment manufacturers, and organizations across a growing number of categories. The geoinformation based platform creates value for all sporting activity stakeholders via coordination of services through multiple touchpoints and an integrated data structure.
