The Global Surgery Student Alliance (GSSA) is the national student-run global surgery working group for the U.S., affiliated with InciSioN (the International Student Surgical Network). Our goal is to educate, inspire, and unite students across the country who want to contribute to the field. We hope to be a resource for students who want to start local global surgery groups at their schools and to create a database of already existing groups. We also plan to create a database of global surgery contacts around the country in order to promote more mentorship between students and current surgical healthcare providers in the field.
