GlobalWings was founded in 2013 by Samuel Walton. The non-profit organisation was set up in the hope of providing young adults in the RAF Air Cadets with a flight-simulated platform. Associated with the Special Projects Department of the RAF Air Training Corps, the organisation was closed down in 2018, but servers still run by the RAF Air Cadets.
